Press release from the City of Joliet: 12/29/2021 8:31 AM The City of Joliet Public Safety Committee will hold a meeting on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at 5:30 p.m. in Council Chambers, second floor, Joliet City Hall, 150 West Jefferson Street, Joliet, Illinois, to discuss the following: As of August 30, 2021, Governor Pritzker announced a statewide indoor mask mandate for all Illinois residents, regardless of vaccination status. In compliance with Governor Pritzker's mandate, any individual appearing in person must wear a face-covering to cover their nose and mouth. Citizens who are unable to attend the meeting can email comments in advance of the meeting to [email protected]. ROLL CALL APPROVAL OF MINUTES CITIZENS TO BE HEARD ON AGENDA ITEMS This section is for anyone wanting to speak regarding agenda items and are allowed a maximum of 4 minutes. It is not a question and answer period and staff, and the Committee members do not generally respond to public comments. The City Clerk has a copy of the public speaking procedures; please note, speakers who engage in conduct injurious to the harmony of the meeting shall be called to order by the Presiding Officer and may forfeit the opportunity to speak.  PURCHASES Sole Source Purchase of ZETX Scan Suite with TSMA6 Drive Test Scanner and Associated Hardware for the Joliet Police Department Investigations Division Purchase of Chassis for the two (2) Proposed Ambulances in 2022 (to be submitted) Purchase of two (2) Transit Vans for the Prisoner Transport Vans discussed on September 7, 2021 (to be submitted) Award Upfit for the Drug Van Approved on May 18, 2021 (to be submitted)  ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS Resolution to Accept and Implement a Bureau of Justice Assistance FY 2021 Connect and Protect Grant (to be submitted) NEW OR OLD BUSINESS, NOT FOR FINAL ACTION OR RECOMMENDATION PUBLIC COMMENTS  This section is for anyone wanting to speak regarding non-agenda items and are allowed a maximum of 4 minutes.
