Press release from the City of Evanston: 12/29/2021 3:36 PM Open Call for Evanston Artists and Arts Organizations to Apply   The Evanston Arts Council has selected five social service providers to receive arts residencies through the City's Community Resiliency Through the Arts Fund. The new, one-time program is made possible through the 2021 Northwestern Good Neighbor Racial Equity Fund, and intends to improve quality of life and amplify voices in underserved communities by pairing local artists with social service organizations. Following an open call for applications and a formal review process, organizations selected to receive Community Resilience Through the Arts grants include: Center for Independent Futures Connections for the Homeless Curt's Café Evanston Latinos Youth & Opportunity United (Y.O.U.) Open Call for Artists and Arts Organizations The Evanston Arts Council has issued an open call for arts organizations and individual artists to apply for residencies with selected organizations. The online application is available through January 31 at cityofevanston.org/resiliencythroughthearts. Selected artists and arts organizations will be matched with social service organizations and will receive grants of $10,000 each. The program will commence in spring 2022.
