UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — A man was rescued Thursday from an Upper West Side section of the Hudson River, a New York Police Department spokesperson told Patch. He was pulled out of the river and onto a boat around noon near West 93rd Street and Riverside Park by the NYPD Harbor Unit and the FDNY, the spokesperson told Patch. The man was still alive and taken to the 79th Street Boat Basin, before getting transported to St. Luke's Hospital, NYPD said. The spokesperson did not specify his condition further than the fact that he was still alive. The spokesperson was also not able to say how the man ended up in the Hudson River. It is roughly 48 degrees on Thursday.
