UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — At least seven businesses on the Upper East Side have been burglarized in recent days, prompting a warning from the local NYPD precinct. The burglaries, reported between Dec. 17-28, resulted in more than $2,300 in cash being stolen, as well as pricey items like electric scooters The NYPD's 19th Precinct revealed the trend on Twitter this week, advising business owners to leave lights on overnight, set alarms, close gates and empty cash from registers.
