remove storm windows

Jobs

1029 Pearl St, Port Huron MI

Description

Remove storm windows from second story of house - there are 6 or 7 of them. Scrape paint. Remove all staples, nails, and screws that protrude from window trim after siding is removed. If you can't pull it, then cut it off flush. Do NOT pound them in or I will deduct from pay because this is not what I am paying for. Remove damaged sill, trim, and panes from attic window without damaging them further. I will be using the pieces as templates and need to keep the shape intact. Install temporary plywood over attic window (from interior or exterior makes no difference to me. Remove miscellaneous boards from house siding. In general, plywood or osb was used to cover bad siding and a door opening. I want the damaged siding areas exposed. Remove all phone and coax lines from exterior of house. Remove 30 ft of gutter and downspout. Remove approx 100 broken pieces of asbestos siding from house in preparation for replacement with fiber cement siding. Most are on the first floor, there are some on the second floor as well. Must be done with care, no drilling, no sawing, no breakage of pieces that aren't already broken. I have 126 replacement pieces on hand. This particular siding is not currently being manufactured and is very difficult to obtain. If you are careless in removal and if you break excessive siding trying to remove the already broken siding, then you will pay for replacement pieces - 1 box minimum, $150 per box For siding removal, I insist on use of an n95 respirator and tyvek suit and I insist on disposing in fully sealed double black bag. The siding should never hit the ground. Use a tarp that extends 10 feet from house!! Load all debris (storm windows, bagged siding, junk osb/plywood, etc) in my truck so that I can dispose of it. My name is Jetta. I am a general contractor. This is a property that I own but do not live in. I know what good workmanship looks like and I know how a lazy ass works. I don't pay lazy asses who try to skirt the work and rip me off. I don't pay mansplainers who try to tell me why I want something different from what I asked for. I know what I want. I describe it clearly, and that is what I pay for. I'm paying $500 for the job to be done properly by 2 guys, in 2 days. I can supply ladders and any necessary power tools or specialty tools that you may wind up needing. You supply your own hands tools, PPE, tarp, and disposal supplies. Jetta 810-841-3713
