No experience required. Immediate work or train in the spring. Flexible part-time hours or full-time 1099. Contract-to-hire potential. Earn while you learn: real estate, investing, property management, maintenance, and/or full-scale construction. JEMCO Properties is a N Bethesda-based construction, real estate, and property management company with expanding operations and portfolio in Prince George's, Frederick, and Washington Counties. This is an immediate opening to train with the principal/business owner and learn the ins-and-outs of remodeling, maintenance, and full "sticks up" construction and development. Position will consist of general labor (painting, cleaning, landscaping, lifting up to 75 lbs, drain cleaning, plumber/electrical helper tasks), but is intended to quickly grow into project manager, superintendent, or maintenance manager role. Sites easy commute to/from Silver Spring, College Park, Hyattsville, Capital Heights, MD. Applicants MUST Have: Valid driver's license, authorization to work in US, and ability to pass a background check. Own reliable transportation, or a clean driving history for the last four years. Computer literacy, basic MS office proficiency, and great written and oral communication. Ability and willingness to work hands-on, in the field. Eagerness to learn construction, real estate, property management, investment, or development. Integrity and a strong work ethic. Applicant SHOULD, but does not need to have some of the following: Some Spanish language proficiency. Prior knowledge or experience in construction, maintenance, or sales. Own smartphone and laptop. Own hand tools and/or work vehicle. Be willing to travel up to 15 miles regularly (SS, DC, close-in Prince George's county). Be willing to travel 50 miles or more voluntarily/very occasionally.
