Description
Fayetteville, NC German Shepherd Mix 3 Years Old UTD on Shots Paid BarkBox subscription Rehoming a German Shepherd/Hound/Terrier mix. He's 3 years old (born August 2018). He's medium-sized (about 30-40 lbs). He's UTD on shots, heartworm preventative, & flea treatment. He's a fast learner, obedient, playful/energetic, loves walks and kisses, and he's a big baby/snuggle bug. He is potty trained, loves outdoors, protective, and sweet to strangers that you welcome. He should be an indoors pet, but he is fine being outside from time to time. He will need a fenced in yard so he can run and play. He can be left alone. He does not rip up our furniture. He loves toys, treats, and dental treats. He needs to get his energy out (walks, outside play, fetch, etc.) or he won't sit still inside until he's tired. He loves hugs and kisses. He is absolutely GREAT with small or big children. We have 8 kids between ages 3 and 12, and he is great with them all. My 3-year-old tries crazy stuff with him sometimes (treats him like a horse, grabs his tail, etc.) and he does not even react. He absolutely adores her and loves to play with her and the other kids indoors and out.. He is not neutered or microchipped. To the difficult part... He needs to be in a one-pet family home. He gets along with other pets temporarily. They may play for a while, sniff each other, or kiss, but he will eventually get jealous or agitated and be ready for them to leave. He wants to be the only pet long-term. This is the only reason I'm rehoming him. We have other pets, and I don't want him to feel neglected just because he cannot be out when the others are out to avoid any of the pets getting hurt. Again, he's really great with strangers and other pets. They just cannot stay long-term. A visitor pet for a day or two (or public greetings in dog parks or other people's homes) is just fine. He'll come with his huge crate, harness, leash, toys, BarkBox subscription (5 months left and already paid for), clothes, and the remainder of his dog food (he loves Blue Buffalo). I'll also tell you where to get his vet records. He really is a sweet boy that we hate to rehome, but we just want him to be happy and go somewhere where he can be the only pet getting the attention. Rehoming fee to ensure a good home applies.
