Looking for a positive, motivated individual to assist glaziers, receive training, and apply what is learned on the job as related to measuring and installation or replacement of glass and mirrors in a variety of residential and commercial applications. Typical areas of training may include learning to use the tools and equipment of the trade; handle, measure, cut, and install glass and metal framing; cut and fit moldings; and to install and balance glass doors. Requirements: high school diploma or equivalent; basic math skills, including the ability to work with fractions; sketching ability; ability to read a tape measure and ruler; accuracy and attention to detail; and knowledge of general construction techniques. Must also have ability to spend most of the work day standing, bending, climbing or reaching; the ability to lift and maneuver heavy, cumbersome materials and equipment, such as large glass plates and ladders; and the ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Must have current references, driver's license with at least 4 years’ driving experience, clean DMV, flexible hours, and able to pass a background check.
