HB Staffing is working with a Public Agency in Diamond Bar to fill a temporary need for a Fleet Services Worker. This is a position for an experienced automotive maintenance technician or tune-up type mechanic. FLEET SERVICES WORKER: Assist in the day-to-day operation of the Automotive Services Section, which is responsible for the agency’s fleet, consisting primarily of passenger vehicles and single-unit trucks Assist in preparing vehicles for use Contact vendors to schedule vehicle repair or maintenance work Dispense fuel to vehicles and participate in parking lot control Performs routine light-duty repair and maintenance services Run errands and pick up or deliver items using an agency passenger vehicle or single-unit truck Perform other related duties REQUIREMENTS: EXPERIENCE: One or more years of experience driving company vehicles on company business; and providing good customer service. Basic vehicle repair/maintenance skills are highly desired. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Excellent customer service skills; ability to read, write, comprehend, communicate clearly in English, and interact tactfully and effectively with others; ability to lift 25+ pounds; possession of a valid California Class C Driver License and a satisfactory driving record. Duration of Assignment/Work Schedule: Approximately up to 2 months working forty (40) hours a week, normally 10 hours per day, Tuesday through Friday with a 7:00am start time, ending at 5:30pm (a "4/10 schedule"). Work Location: This assignment will require travel to various locations throughout the four-County metropolitan area (L.A., Orange, and parts of Riverside and San Bernardino Counties). Individuals selected to interview with our client for this assignment must bring with them evidence of a good driving record for our review. An acceptable document is a recent, official California DMV “3-year” report (K-4 report). NOTE: Recent means within 30 days; the printout must be complete, and have DMV’s blue seal showing – A COPY WILL NOT SUFFICE, therefore, the driving record will have to be hand-carried to us at the time of interview. A driving record printout obtained online or provided by an insurance company is NOT acceptable.
