PLEASE do not buy kittens. There are a ton of free kittens and cats needing homes. You can find them at every shelter and on the street in every neighborhood. Every kitten and cat we've had were "Feral" and they've all been great pets. The average lifespan of a cat living on the street is about 8 years. Cats with a home can easily live 18-25 years. So when you adopt a kitten or cat from a shelter or from the street you're giving them the gift of life. Also please have your cat spayed or neutered to help decrease the number of unwanted cats starving on our streets. If you're a "cat lady" who feeds strays please, instead of just feeding them, capture them with a Have-A-Heart trap and have them neutered. Also please do not declaw your cats. It's cruel. If you clip their nails once a month and keep scratching posts around you won't have any problem with them going after your furniture.
