I have several years experience with parrots and other birds as well. I have rescued a few as well including a budgie with lead poisoning because the owners couldn't afford to take it to the vet. I have plenty of space and time for my birds. I do not breed nor am looking to ever breed my birds. I currently have a GCC and 2 budgies and some zebra finches as well. I don't clip my birds and enjoy training my birds and giving them plenty of time out their cages every day. I know life gets in the way for people, circumstances and health change or maybe some people didn't realize what they were getting into. I will take in any and all that are in need of someone who can give them love and care, stimulation, rehabilitation and vet care. All my birds are fed high quality pellets, fresh chop daily and all get lots of love individually. So if you are in need of somewhere for your baby to go and don't know what to do you're welcome to contact me, get to know me and see if you feel like it's in their best interest send them into my care. I know it's never an easy choice and am also willing for those who want it to stay in touch so you know how your baby is doing and is well. I have experience with conures, Amazons, macaws, budgies and a galah as well. I am well versed on bird care, diet needs and how they are different for different birds, body language, positive reinforcement, harmful stuff (my home has not a single Teflon coated item, candles, sprays, foods that are harmful). I have two vets I use. Avian and Exotics in Raleigh for serious problems and Animal Care of Greenville for annual checkups, and things that are considered minor and willing to provide any references including my veterinarians for you to vet me on my credibility as well for your peace of mind. Please feel free to contact me and start a dialogue if you want to learn more about me if you're thinking of finding a new home for your babies. I don't care if they are young or old, tame or not. I will give them a chance and give them their best lives I can. And for anyone reading this contemplating surrendering their baby I am sorry you are going through this awful choice and I will never judge. The lutino budgie (yellow albino) is recent rescue and show him now after his recovery from lead poisoning and we're so happy how he has made a full recovery and has begun talking and stepping up and grown more confident in my presence.
