Description

Be An Invader Detective! Join us for our Winter Wednesday Walk, gather at the Vollmer Center Winter is a great time to find and report new invasive plant species. Why do we fail in the battle against invasive plants? We don’t start soon enough! In this woodland walk, Dr. Sara A. Tangren will teach us how to spot and report several of the alien plants that have just started showing up in our natural areas. Winter is the ideal time to spot them because so many of them are evergreen. We will learn how to provide local land managers with the information they need to gather resources and respond - to literally nip these new invasives in the bud! Cylburn Arboretum Friends is the 501(c)3 non-profit friends group of Baltimore City's Cylburn Arboretum, enriching and enhancing the arboretum and our community in a variety of ways, and providing nature education programs for people of all ages.
