He learned to tie flies from Al Ritt, a prolific fly tier with whom he learned essential fundamentals of fly tying and fly design. Since his move to Massachusetts, he has transitioned much of his efforts to saltwater fly fishing and tying, with a particular focus on striped bass and fly patterns for estuary and inshore fishing. Marc has mastered many classic saltwater flies and has also developed several of his own patterns that have yielded successful results.
