Volunteer event to assist in apartment set-ups through Exodus Refugee in the beginning of 2022! Hello everyone! I hope that you all had a peaceful and restorative holiday season, regardless of what you do or do not celebrate. As we exit the year of 2021, we are entering a new level of busyness as more families come in the beginning of January 2022. With all of these families coming, our staff continues to need assistance in setting up household apartments. Thanks so much in advance for the generosity of your time and energy. Please look at the following volunteer opportunities for housing set-ups: Date: Tuesday, January 4th, 2022 Time: 9A - 2PM Location: Exodus Refugee (2457 E Washington St. Ste. A Indianapolis, IN 46201) Family of 6, Family of 5, and a Single Case: 8 volunteers needed Family of 3: 3 volunteers needed Task Description (PLEASE READ FULLY): Assist in setting up the housing for refugee clients. Please plan on being at the Exodus office (2457 E Washington St. Ste. A Indianapolis, IN 46201) at 9AM. We will begin by spending our time loading the truck at the Exodus warehouse for the families in need. After this, we will each drive to the appropriate locations and completely unload the trucks in the proper apartments to furnish the households. This task will require moderate levels of physicality. Please plan on wearing warm clothes (it is sometimes cold in the warehouse/outside during the setup) and closed-toed shoes. You may also want to wear clothes that you're okay with accumulating dust. Date: Wednesday, January 5th, 2022 Time: 9A - 2PM Location: Exodus Refugee (2457 E Washington St. Ste. A Indianapolis, IN 46201) Family of 3 and 3 single cases: 5 slots available Task Description (PLEASE READ FULLY): Assist in setting up the housing for refugee clients.
