It's that time again! ADCNC's Outer Banks Conference 2022... Resilience in the Midst of Change ADCNC is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization - we operate with support from the NC Division of Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities and Substance Use Disorder Services, the federal National Guard Bureau and funds from other community organizations and donors. ADCNC is an affiliate of the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependency NC Charitable Solicitation License #SL000197 Our Services Through our call center, we utilize a specialized team of call responders (some with firsthand experience in recovery) that provide information and referrals to treatment and recovery support services for individuals who are seeking help for various substance use disorders. On any given month, our call responders serve between 500 – 1000 callers throughout the state of North Carolina. To do this, we utilize our robust database that contains treatment providers and recovery support resources. In an effort to expand our reach and combat the recent opioid epidemic, we also provide information and educational support through our website via live chat and text features, as well. Additionally, ADCNC provides perinatal support resources through a “Perinatal Substance Use Project” which includes screening, telephone hot-line, information, and appropriate referrals for women throughout our state who are pregnant or parenting and using substances. This also includes a weekly updated bed list under the “North Carolina Perinatal and Maternal Substance Abuse Initiative & CASAWORKS for Family Residential Services”. In the past 12 months, our NC Army National Guard program (which provides targeted prevention and recovery support to soldiers at risk for a substance related disorder via access to referral, brief intervention and follow up) provided 80 assessments and 80 brief interventions to NC Army National Guard soldiers.
