RULESET We will be using the VGBC/Xanadu ruleset, which is as follows: PLEASE DISCONNECT YOUR PRO CONTROLLERS AND JOYCONS after each game, as they can interfere with setting up the next match. Repeated failure to disconnect any wireless controllers may result in a disqualification. DO NOT PAUSE at any time during a game, except when on your OWN spawn platform, and only for the purpose of summoning a TO or in the case of a controller malfunction. Pausing at any other time or for any other reason will result in the loss of a stock for the offending player. Make sure your controls are set properly BEFORE the game. A match in progress may not be re-started to facilitate control settings changes. Any player restarting a match without TO approval will result in a loss of that game within the set. NO COACHING or giving advice during a game in progress or between games in a set. First violations will receive a warning, second violation will result in a game loss, third violation will result in a disqualification for the player AND the coach if they are also in the bracket. 3 Stock, 7 minutes, Stage Hazards Off IN THE EVENT OF SUDDEN DEATH: Winner is determined by lowest percentage damage going into Sudden Death, NOT by the winner of the Sudden Death. In the extremely rare event of a draw, a 1 stock tiebreaker will be played on the last stage played. Starter Stages: Battlefield Final Destination Pokemon Stadium 2 Smashville Town & City Counterpick Stages: Kalos Pokemon League Lylat Cruise Yoshi's Story NO DSR Choosing Stages For the first game of the set, only the Starter Stages are available, and players will play Rock Paper Scissors, with the winner banning the first stage. The other player will then ban 2 more of the remaining Starter Stages, and the winner will then pick which of the remaining 2 stages to play on. Stage strikes do not apply to the whole set, only the individual game within the set. After the first game, repeat the process with the loser of the previous match getting to ban the first stage, and the Counterpick Stages being added to the pool of stage choices. At any time, if both players agree to play on a particular LEGAL stage, they may bypass the stage banning/picking process and simply go to that stage. And of course, no items and no final smash meters. 1v1 or if doubles: 2v2 8min Finals is 3 out of 5 matches Please bring your switch to help the tournament run quicker!
