Child Porn Possession Charges Filed Against North Port Man: FDLE

NORTH PORT, FL — Gregory William Brown, 51, of North Port has been charged with 10 counts of possession of child sexual abuse material, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement said in a news release. Each charge was enhanced to a second-degree felony because of the number of files and because at least one video depicted the sexual battery of a child, the agency said. FDLE agents began investigating Brown when they learned that an online address was being used to share files depicting child sexual abuse. When searching his home, they took numerous devices, finding more than 90 videos and more than 70 images of files depicting the sexual abuse of children on them. Brown was arrested Monday and booked into the Sarasota County Jail.
