Press release from Hicksville Public Schools: December 17, 2021 The students, staff, and members of the East Street Student Council in the Hicksville Public Schools donated and filled about 30 gallon-sized bags of Halloween candy to donate to two community organizations this year. The beneficiaries of the donated Halloween candy were our local chapter of AmVet and Mercy Soup Kitchen of Wyandanch. The members of these organizations were very grateful for these donations. A thank you to the community for your support! The students at East Street School in Hicksville Public Schools package up gallon-sized bags for donation to local community groups. Students at East Street work together to fill bags to donate to the AmVets and Mercy Soup Kitchen. In an abundance of caution, I have asked teachers and students to ensure they have their electronic device and chargers at home over the break.
