Seattle Bartender Attacked After Asking For Vaccine Proof: Police

SEATTLE, WA — Police are investigating after a customer allegedly attacked a Pioneer Square bartender who asked for proof of vaccination. The incident took place on Monday at a bar in the 500 block of King Street, police said. Witnesses called 911 at 5:15 p.m. and said the suspect attacked the bartender with a "sharpened broomstick." Medics treated her for a laceration to her face. Officers were unable to locate the suspect after searching the area, and police believe they may have left the area on a light rail train. Detectives are investigating the incident and ask anyone with information to call the Seattle Police Department tip line at (206) 233-5000.
