I am constructing a new building that is 3' below grade and will have a foundation drain. The drain is 12" wide, 114' long, and 18" below the bottom of the building. The drain has been dug out but the soil was piled around the sides of the building and much of it has slid back into the drain due the rain. The drain fills with water and the water must be pumped out regularly. This job involves three parts:
1) Hauling out the excavated soil. There are roughly 7 cu. yd. of very wet soil and the soil will need to be carried an average of 25' through the muddy trench.
2) Hauling in and compacting roughly 15 cu yd. of drain rock. The rock will need to be carried an average of 35'.
3) Hauling in and compacting roughly 25 cu. yd. of fill soil. The soil will need to be carried an average of 40'.
The job needs to be done quickly and so please only apply if you are able to work 8 hours per day every weekday until the work is complete. Please note that the job cannot be done during the rain and for 1 to 2 days after a heavy rain. You should expect to get very wet and muddy.
