Updated (Dec. 29, 6:55 p.m.) MCLEAN, VA — Detectives from Fairfax County Police Department's Crash Reconstruction Unit continued to investigate the cause a fatal crash involving a bicyclist in McLean that occurred around 4 p.m. on Wednesday, according post on the department's official Twitter account. The driver remained on the scene of the crash. For a couple of hours, police closed Dolley Madison Boulevard in both directions between Old Dominion Drive and Elm Street. The road reopened to traffic shortly before 6 p.m. This is a developing story that will be updated as more details become available. Officers are on scene of a fatal crash involving a bicyclist at Dolley Madison Blvd and Ingleside Ave in McLean. The driver remained at the scene. Dolley Madison Blvd is closed between Old Dominion Dr & Elm St in both directions.
