HARFORD COUNTY, MD — All branches of the Harford County Public Library will distribute COVID-19 test kits on Thursday, Dec. 30, health officials announced Tuesday.
One kit will be distributed for each adult while supplies last. Each kit contains two tests, which the instructions say are to be taken days apart.
Kits will be Abbott BinaxNow At Home COVID-19 tests, organizers say.
The Harford County Health Department is coordinating the distribution in partnership with the Maryland Department of Health and the Harford County Public Library.
People should "not come into the library to pick up a test kit if they are quarantining," officials say.
Distribution will begin at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 30.
"We know people are lining up for these outside when the giveaways occur," health officials said. "Please remember to stay socially distant from one another!"
