LONG VALLEY, NJ — A man who is already serving a sentence in one of the New Jersey's correctional facilities now faces charges of child endangerment and other related allegations. Detectives of the Washington Township Police Department charged Keith O'Connor, 50, with endangering the welfare of a child, three counts of aggravated criminal sexual contact and exhibiting obscene material to a minor, according to the police department. A news release from police indicates that O'Connor, who was charged on Dec. 23, is currently detained in an undisclosed New Jersey correctional center "after being sentenced in an unrelated incident." The police department has not responded to a request for further comment about the case from Patch, asking if O'Connor is serving a sentence for a March 2020 incident, when Washington Township Police headed to a home on Rock Road for a welfare check where O'Connor, then 49, fired shots at officers.
