Warren County Mom Charged: Carried Hypodermic Needles Into Motel

WARREN COUNTY, NJ — A Warren County mother was charged with child neglect, possession of a dangerous substance and possession of hypodermic needles, after her two small children were found wandering around a Quality Inn near Hackettstown. According to a Mansfield Township Police Department news release, on Sept. 1 at about 6:30 a.m., after police arrived to the Quality Inn, the children were looking for their mother. Police went to their motel room, where they encountered hypodermic needles that were uncapped, strewn on the sink and bathroom floor. After police say they called Child Services to intervene, their mother, only identified as a 37-year-old woman from Washington, returned to the motel while officers were still there.
