Description
Our two year old male goldendoodle (pate a choux) needs a new home. His dad is an F1 goldendoodle, mom F1B so he is a F2B. We have had him since he was 10 weeks old, he is GREAT with kids, has ate a raw meat diet his entire life, weighs ~60/65lbs, doesn't jump on people, is great with all farm animals (we have livestock of all kinds including birds and he has never chased or bothered them). He has a great protectant bark and is a wonderful companion for hiking, exploring, etc. He has gotten regular groomings in the past and recently I bathe and cut him myself, he is used to it and although bathing/water isn't his favorite, he doesn't make a huge fuss.
He is not fixed and unfortunately he has started running away for longer and longer periods of time. We got him another dog thinking a companion would help and it has not. We have 20 acres and it is not possible to fence the entirety of the property in order to keep him home. He spends most of his time outside but sleeps inside in a mudroom. He needs a home in which he can be in a fenced yard and/or indoors more. He would also do well with some training I think, we do not have the time to commit to it and I really think with some purpose and some pride he would be an amazing dog.
