PROVIDENCE, RI — As coronavirus cases continue to climb in Rhode Island and around the country, Gov. Dan McKee continues to urge residents to get their COVID-19 vaccine and booster shots. To help make vaccines more accessible, the Rhode Island Department of Health will hold clinics in communities across the state Wednesday. "Getting vaccinated is the best way to protect you and those around you from serious illness related to COVID-19," McKee said. "I thank all Rhode Islanders who have already rolled up their sleeves, got vaccinated and then got boosted." Boosters are available to everyone aged 16 and older, who received their second two-dose vaccine at least six months ago, or their single-dose Johnson and Johnson shot at least two months ago.In an effort to get as many Rhode Islanders boosted before Christmas as possible, Gov. Dan McKee announced several clinics across the state for Tuesday. Registration is requested, visit the Department of Health's website and click "upcoming community vaccination clinics."
