Description

MANCHESTER, NH — Manchester police officers responded to the area of Mercedes Benz of Manchester and Enterprise Rent-A-Car on Gold Street for alarms going off on Tuesday. Officers searched the area and located a vehicle in the South Side Tavern Parking lot at 1279 S. Willow St. When officers approached the vehicle, they made contact with four people. A passenger in the vehicle, identified as, Edward Morin, 58, of Manchester (no set address), was found to have 10 stolen credit cards in his wallet, according to a police report. Officers were able to connect the cards to two recent motor vehicle break-ins and determined that all the cards had fraudulent transactions on them totaling thousands of dollars, police said. As a result, Morin was charged with two felony counts of receiving stolen property. He was also charged with two counts of possession of a controlled drug. Police also learned another occupant, Dennis Higgins, 46, of Manchester, had an outstanding electronic bench warrant and was taken into custody, too.
