CONCORD, NH — The last Powerball drawing for 2021 could potentially be worth nearly half a billion dollars. The drawing for Wednesday is expected to reach $441 million with a one-time cash payout of $317.5 million (before taxes). "What an incredible opportunity for our New Hampshire players to cap off 2021 with a $441 million win," Charlie McIntyre, the executive director of the New Hampshire Lottery, said. "Retailers are reporting excellent sales and the excitement is building. I can think of 441 million reasons to get your tickets for tomorrow night's drawing. You have to play to win." The jackpot has been growing since nearly $700 million was won in California in early October. On Monday, according to McIntyre, a $50,000 ticket was sold at The Bright Spot on East Dunstable Road in Nashua. That player matched four of the five winning numbers as well as the Powerball number.
