MANCHESTER, NH — Friends and family of two New Hampshire men and a teenager from New Jersey who died in a car crash on Sunday have raised more than $45,000 to offset funeral expenses. In less than 24 hours, Mimi Khiev, the sister of the three family members who died, was able to raise more than enough money to take care of the funeral expenses after they died in a car crash on the Atlantic City Expressway in Hamilton Township, NJ. Reachthon "Tonny" Khiev, 31, and Reachsieh "Johnny" Khiev, 27, of Manchester, and Keotepie Khiev, 14, of Atlantic City, NJ, were killed in the accident. Another girl was also injured in the crash. The Khiev brothers were visiting family for the holiday weekend as a surprise and were on their way home when the crash occurred. According to Mimi Khiev, her brothers were born in Cambodia and came to the United States when they were young. Both worked as home care providers in New Hampshire for people with disabilities. "Their caring nature not only translated through their career but also through their endless kindness to everyone they encounter," she said. "They both had a huge heart and were full of life. They touched so many people's lives and deserved so much more life than they got. They fought so many battles and smiled through it all. Those who knew them know how contagious their smiles were and how they would do anything to make sure that their loved ones are taken care of. They both had aspirations of opening up a donut shop and moving their whole family to live with them in New Hampshire." Her sister, also known as Keo, was a high honors ninth-grader at Atlantic City High School and enrolled in the ROTC program. The family also thanked a pastor who assisted at the crash scene, according to a post on Facebook. Since the effort reached its goal, the extra money will be used to assist the sister who survived the crash and also move the rest of the family from New Jersey to New Hampshire — something the brothers were working on at the time of the crash.
