Limerick Fire Truck Gets Into Accident On Way To A Call

POTTSTOWN, PA — A fire truck got into a minor accident with another vehicle Tuesday morning on its way to a call. The truck, which belongs to the Limerick Fire Department, had its emergency lights and sirens flashing, and was traveling through the intersection with High Street and Keim Street, just before 8:30 a.m. when it collided with another vehicle. The Limerick fire crew at the time was on its way to assist with an emergency call in Pottstown. Limerick Fire Department Deputy Chief Glenn Russell told Patch there were no injuries to any firefighters or the occupants of the other vehicle. Russell said Pottstown police are still investigating the cause of the incident, and he has not yet seen the police report to see if any parties were named as being at fault. Russell classified the motor vehicle accident as "minor." He said everyone involved appears to be safe and uninjured.
