CHURCHILL, PA — The increasing number of COVID-19 cases has prompted the Woodland Hills School District to prohibit spectators from attending district events. In a letter to families, the district said the banning was "due to the increase in the number of COVID-19 cases and its impact on crowds and gatherings...The district is continuing to monitor the situation within Allegheny County and will provide updates as circumstances change." The move comes as the Allegheny County Health Department is reporting a spike in COVID-19 cases due to the omicron variant. Effective immediately, the only people permitted to attend events are athletic and event personnel, student participants and performers, school district administration and members of the media. Everyone in attendance is required to wear a mask. Be the first to know what's happening in your community and region.
