OSWEGO, IL — With holiday gatherings and the emerging omicron surge of coronavirus combining to send the demand for tests skyrocketing past supplies, an increasing number of Kendall County residents have been seeking COVID-19 testing but have found it unavailable or difficult to obtain. While cases are significantly up in Kendall County, with 1,158 reported in the last seven days, deaths are down. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported less than 10 deaths in Kendall County in the past week, down 66.7 percent from the previous week.
