OSWEGO, IL — The Kendall County Sheriff's Office has hired a new deputy to fill a vacancy in the Patrol Division. Amber Flynn was sworn in on Dec. 23 by Sheriff Dwight Baird. Deputy Flynn will be attending the Basic Police Training Academy beginning January 3rd for 14 weeks. Upon completion of the academy, she will be paired with experienced field training officers for a rigorous 14-week field training program. Deputy Flynn studies Justice Studies at the College of DuPage. She worked as a part-time police officer at the Rosemont Police Department, a police assistant with the Bensonville Police Department, and a dispatcher for Norcomm Public Safety Communications before being hired by the Sheriff's Office.
