JOLIET, IL — Jillette Love, a 36-year-old woman who lives in the Joliet Housing Authority's Murphy Building in downtown Joliet, faces multiple felony charges in connection with the recent stabbing of a relative. Joliet police took Love into custody early Wednesday morning. She was booked into the Will County Jail. Love lives in the 300 block of North Ottawa Street. According to Joliet Police Detective Brad McKeon's criminal complaint, Love used a knife to stab a male relative on Dec. 18. Besides being charged with aggravated battery, Love also faces a domestic battery charge for an incident that also happened Dec. 18. Love's domestic battery charge involves a different victim, according to court records. Love has a prior domestic battery conviction from 2013 in Will County, Wednesday's criminal complaint noted. Will County Judge Fred Harvey set Love's bail at $75,000 in connection with the Dec. 18 incident. Love also has eight pending criminal charges in connection other arrests by Joliet police in 2019 and 2020, jail records show.
