Description
DUBLIN, CA — An area resident, who rescued a pup found roaming Dublin's Hacienda Crossings Shopping Center parking lot on Dec. 18, is hoping to connect with the dog's owner or find the little fella a forever home.
Dubbed "T.J." — as he was scooped up near TJ Maxx by Pleasanton resident Shane Bohen — the male dog had no collar, no microchip, weighs 12 pounds, is energetic and appears to be well-fed and in good health, said Bohen, who already has several dogs and cats and cannot keep him.
T.J. is not neutered, is estimated to be 2 years old, gets along well with other dogs, and Bohen is working on potty training.
After the first few days with no responses to his "lost dog" posts, Bohen took the dog to the East County Animal Shelter in Dublin, where T.J. was placed under a five-day quarantine, with tag #70771, and an adoption date set Dec. 26.
"He was very upset to see me go," Bohen said.
So Bohen soon returned to the facility and picked up the dog, who "wouldn't leave his side," and brought him back home — now determined to find his owner or an adoptive family.
Anyone with information on the pooch or interested in adopting him, can contact Bohen at 925-858-0685.
