Update as of December 23rd 2021: The 7 young bunnies were rescued by Rabbit Rescue but several still need to be adopted out placed in forever homes. Please contact: https://rabbitrescue.com/ Original posting: The tiniest cages in the shelter are going to be emptied on December 17. Just one week before Christmas, SEAACA shelter plans to kill 7 tiny, young bunnies. These little rabbits have been patiently, faithfully waiting for a home of their own. And perhaps just like small children who don't yet fully understand the holidays, these bunnies can still feel the magic in the air of Christmas, their tiny hearts bursting with hope. But if no rescue or adopter commits by 4pm on December 17, it will not be a volunteer dressed as Santa who visits these little bunnies in their sad back room. At 4pm that day, a shelter worker will come to visit the smallest cages in the shelter, scoop up these tiny bundles of fur and hope, and carry them to the kill room. 💔 Without our help, these little bunnies will exit the shelter the week before Christmas, not in the arms of love, but limp and dead in a disposal bin.
