Start the New Year out right and join BPRB for our First Exploratory Ride of the Year within Baltimore City and County.
Please Join Black People Ride Bikes (BPRB), a Baltimore-Based Non-Profit Organization for a Exploratory Ride.
This group ride is designed for the beginner’s /intermediate rider who are interested in seeing different parts of Baltimore and its surrounding areas by bike. Beginner level Cyclist and up are welcome. This is a not a “Newbie” ride. A rider must be able to ride a minimum of 20 miles @ 11mph.
We will start from St. Mary’s Park and ride a scenic 25 miles loop through Baltimore City and Baltimore County. There will be considerable climbing with an elevation of about 2000 ft. during this ride with two rest breaks. This is a “No Drop” ride. Riders can expect to have a ride leader and a sweep for riders who fall off the back.
Ride Instructions:
Shaka Pitts will be your Ride Leader and will be meeting everyone at 11:30 AM.
Wheels Down at 12:00 PM.
Helmet, flat tire repair kit, and a front and rear light are strongly recommended.
A bicycle computer or cycling app on your cellphone is nice to have.
Everyone must carry a photo ID and have an emergency contact number with them during the ride.
Arrive early to allow time for pre-ride instructions and a bike check.
We leave to ride promptly at 12:00pm (Noon).
