Rehoming 10 Year Old White Spayed Female Cat

I need to immediately rehome my beautiful cat. Socks is a ten year old sweetheart who needs a permanent home. She is fixed. She may get along okay with a small dog or one other cat, but it would be better for her to be someone's only pet. She would do best with a female companion, as her past includes abuse from men (before I rescued her). She does okay if children visit but she does not enjoy the company of small children who might overwhelm her or cause too much chaos. A quiet, calm home would be best. She is all white and has long hair. When the housing market went crazy, I lost my home when my apartment complex was sold and they increased my rent to more than I could afford. I am sharing space with family and they are allergic to cats and I could not bring her with me. Socks is currently living with a foster owner. It was supposed to be temporary until I got on my feet but it's taking longer than I expected and the foster has asked me to find another place for Socks. Rather than bounce her to another temporary home, I want her to live the rest of her life in happy stability. She needs a purr-ever home. The foster is not comfortable with people coming to meet Socks where she is currently living. This makes it very difficult for me to rehome her but I am doing my best. If you are uncertain about Socks, I can pick her up and meet you somewhere with her in her carrier. However, if you're sure you can be her forever home, please contact me to make arrangements. Socks will come with everything she needs to be a happy kitty. Litter, litter box, cat tree, toys, food, and her bed, blanket, cat nail clippers, along with the carrier.
