Credit.org's HUD-approved home buyer class will help you navigate the home buying process and equip you with useful tools & resources. Home Buyer Class Credit.org’s HUD-approved class will provide prospective home buyers with the information, resources and tools needed to purchase your first home. All graduates will receive a certificate at the end of the class which may grant access to services and products specifically for First-time Home Buyers like down payment and closing cost assistance. In addition, credit.org offers pre-purchase counseling – an opportunity to work individually with credit.org staff to ensure that you purchase the right home for you and your family. The class is $15 per person. Couples/spouses from the same household must register individually for each to receive a certificate. All materials will be provided for you at the class. COVID-19 Protocols: To keep our staff and everyone attending our class safe, guidelines are to be followed in accordance with the COVID-19 protocols set forth by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH). A face mask is required and must be worn for the duration of the class regardless of vaccination status. Given the provided classroom space, seating arrangements have been made to allow social distancing during the class however we ask attendees to be mindful of keeping their mask on and distancing from others when moving about the facility. If you are feeling ill the day of the class or you have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 within 10 days of the class, PLEASE STAY HOME. DO NOT COME TO THE CLASS. If you are ill or have been exposed and cannot attend, we will issue you a refund or you may request to be rescheduled to a later class. Be aware that these protocols and requirements are subject to change at any time in accordance with the requirements of the California Department of Public Health. As a courtesy to our speakers and class attendees we ask you make childcare arrangements for your children in advance. Guest other than the registered attendee are not allowed.
