Join us Monday, January 10th at 6:00 pm for a poetry reading featuring poets selected by local poetry publisher, Lucky Bean Press! Join us Monday, January 10th at 6:00 pm for a poetry reading hosted by Lucky Bean Press, followed by an open mic. This event is free to attend. Masks and proof of vaccination will be required to attend the event. This month’s featured reader is Justin Lacour. Justin Lacour lives in New Orleans and edits Trampoline: A Journal of Poetry. He is the author of two chapbooks, including My Heart is Shaped Like a Bed: 46 Sonnets forthcoming from Fjords Review. Lucky Bean Poetry is a press and reading series in New Orleans, LA. Lucky Bean Press publishes an ongoing chapbook series. Check out their previous publications here. They are always looking for submissions of original poetry and poetry in translation. A monthly poetry series with featured reader(s) and open mic, (usually) on the 2nd or 3rd Monday of the month, is hosted at Blue Cypress Books on 8123 Oak Street.
