Press release from the Pinellas County Government: Dec. 27, 2021 Pinellas County Government offices will be closed on Friday, Dec. 31, in observance of New Year's Day. This includes departments under the Board of County Commissioners, Clerk's Office, Tax Collector, Property Appraiser and Supervisor of Elections. Parks & Conservation Resources Parks administrative office, Heritage Village and Education Centers will be closed on both Friday, Dec. 31 and Saturday, Jan. 1. County Parks and Preserves, Fort De Soto Park, County boat ramps and beach access will remain open on both days. Annual passes can be purchased online.  Human Services Pinellas County Human Services offices will be closed. Building Services Pinellas County Building Services offices will be closed, and inspections will take place. Sixth Judicial Circuit courts The courts of the Sixth Judicial Circuit (Pinellas and Pasco) will not be in session except for first-appearance advisory hearings and emergency situations. Solid Waste Disposal Facility The Solid Waste Disposal Facility will be open on Friday, Dec. 31, but closed on Saturday, Jan. 1. The Solid Waste administrative offices and HEC3 will be closed on both Friday, Dec. 31 and Saturday, Jan. 1. Animal Services shelter The offices and adoption center at Pinellas County Animal Services will be closed on both Friday, Dec. 31 and Saturday, Jan. 1.
