Description
GREENDALE, WI — The Village of Greendale is now down to two polling places as a cost-saving measure and to streamline the election process, the village announced on its website.
The Board of Trustees made the amendment following the completion of the 2020 census, making Greendale High School and Highland View Elementary the two places all of Greendale votes for the foreseeable future, according to the village announcement. Registered voters will be receiving more information from the village via mail about the poll place changes leading up to 2022 elections.
The reduction also comes after the coronavirus pandemic caused election inspector shortages in the village that caused a temporary reduction of polling places in April of 2020, Patch reported.
Everyone who lives east of Loomis Road will vote at Highland View and everyone who lives west of Loomis Road will vote at Greendale High School, the village wrote.
You can find your polling place as well as more information about upcoming elections via the Wisconsin MyVote website.
