WALLINGFORD, CT — The State Bond Commission recently approved $4 million in state funding for renovations to the Ulbrich Heights & Extension housing units in Wallingford.
The funds will be used to upgrade kitchens and bathrooms in various units, along with replacing siding and exterior windows, according to State Rep. Mary Mushinsky (D-85).
"I am extremely grateful that the State Bond Commission will soon take action to provide Wallingford Housing Authority with these funds," said Mushinsky, who represents the area of Wallingford where Ulbrich Heights is located. "Everyone deserves to have access to safe and modern affordable housing, and these funds bring us one step closer to achieving that goal here in Wallingford."
Gov. Ned Lamont said, "This state funding for these affordable housing improvements in Wallingford not only supports families, but it also makes our neighborhoods more vibrant places to live and work. I am glad that the state can partner on these improvements in the town."
