2020 was hard on our nervous systems: we need a reset to be resilient. Join us for this workshop for a much-needed brain vacation! Feeling exhausted, uninspired, and totally burned out? You're not the only one. 2020 was hard on all of us, so TOTEM has designed a meditation workshop series- Reset for Resilience- to help our nervous systems achieve much-needed rest. Why is this important? Because the negative impacts of long-term stress, fear and anxiety are terrible for our mental and physical health, particularly for our immune systems. And if ever there was a time to cultivate a healthy, robust immune system- this is it! For this meditation workshop, we will leverage the ancient meditative technique of Shamanic Journeying to induce a Shamanic State of Consciousness (SSC). This format lowers the heart and respiration rate while stimulating the pineal gland to create theta wave activity in the brain. This, in turn, enables a neurological reset, leaving workshop attendees to leave rested, restored, and with a foundation for better circadian rhythms and sleep cycles. In this third workshop of the series, TOTEM will also provide energizing, touch-free energy work/ reiki and guide the attendees through some very gentle, on-the-ground restorative yoga to reinforce the energetic reset and increase attendee relaxation and overall vitality. Reset for Resilience- and the meditation techniques it leverages- can help with stress reduction, anxiety management, emotional health, self-awareness, lower cortisol levels, reducing adrenfal fatigue, attention span and overall memory. Attendees can expect to enjoy a curated, calming, candlelit ambiance in a beautiful space designed to ground your energy and provide the perfect environment for relaxation. You won't regret taking a few hours out of your day to reset before the work week! Participants will leave with resources, tools, tips and tricks to practice this meditative technique on their own. The world is a very stressful place at the moment. Shamanic Journeying is a great meditative technique that can help you manage your own stress response while empowering you to take the reigns of your life. This workshop is for all levels- no prior experience is required. You do not need to sign up fo the whole workshop series- feel free to register "a la carte" and drop in/ out of the series as you want!
