Here are the top stories today in Lakewood: Denver shooting spree ends in Lakewood shopping district. Five people were killed after a series of shootings across the Denver metro area Monday night that ended when the suspect was killed by police in the Belmar shopping center. (FOX31)Long COVID-19 testing lines in Colorado as omicron variant spreads. Several community sites in the metro area reached capacity on Sunday, and stores are running short on home test kits. (CBS4)Grass fire near C-470 and Kipling slows, evacuation orders lifted: Ken Caryl Valley and a nearby apartment complex were briefly put under mandatory evacuation orders, but those have since been lifted as winds pushed the fire in another direction.
