Here are the top stories in Colorado Springs today: Colorado Springs Police are searching for a robbery suspect. This suspect stole money from a business near Palmer Park Boulevard and North Academy Boulevard just after 10:30 a.m. on Monday. The suspect entered, showed a firearm, then demanded cash from the clerk. (KKTV 11 News) Members of Colorado Springs girl scout troop 47176 earned the prestigious Silver Award for building Digital Media Little Free Library. The Little Free Library is located at the intersection of Blackhawk Drive and Allegheny Drive. The USA Silver Award, one of the highest awards a Girl Scout Cadette can achieve, gives girl scouts an opportunity to demonstrate their leadership and dedication to improving their community. (Colorado Springs Gazette) An anonymous, "Ugly-Sweater Elf" made this holiday season a little brighter by giving away thousands of dollars in cash and gifts in Colorado Springs. This person left little envelopes full of cash around Colorado Springs with messages to encourage people to pay it forward, as well as presents like flat-screen TVs. This elf has now revealed himself to be Philip Tapia of Colorado Springs and he wants everyone to continue paying it forward and spreading kindness. (KRDO)As a result of a partnership between Westside Cares and Food Trucks Against Homelessness, every Monday morning a food truck comes to Westside Cares to serve food to those in need. The food trucks volunteer their time and supplies to serve these meals. Food Trucks Against Homelessness began a year ago as an effort to help feed the homeless, but not only do they give food, they bring donated socks, clothes, gloves, and even hand warmers.
