Description

SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CA — The Santa Clara County Library District will offer library cards with unique designs beginning in the New Year. The three types of designs are planned around the themes of Create, Dream and Discover, and patrons can draw or personalize their cards. The cards feature a lightbulb, cloud and magnifying glasses. "Libraries are about so much more than books," County Librarian Jennifer Weeks said. "It's absolutely amazing when you consider the over 2 million items in our collection, plus the programs, events, and valuable services that are available free to our patrons. Our libraries are spaces to help everyone achieve personal success and fulfillment, which build thriving communities." Current card holders are also welcome to exchange their card for a new card, and they will also receive a special gift, according to a news release. Visit sccld.org for more information.
