THOUSAND PALMS, CA — Firefighters Tuesday contained a fire that had burned at an abandoned single-story home in Thousand Palms, authorities said. Firefighters dispatched at 5:08 a.m. to the 31000 block of San Miguelito Drive contained the blaze at 5:40 a.m., Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department reported. No injuries were reported and a cause of the fire was under investigation.
