Description

LIVERMORE, CA — One of the worst parts about the end of the holiday season is trying to figure out how to dispose of your Christmas tree. Luckily for Livermore residents, the city's sanitation agency will collect holiday trees for compost on your regular service days for single-family homes. Christmas trees will be collected during the first two full weeks of January, 2022 — from Jan. 3 to Jan. 14. Trees must be stripped of lights, decorations and stands. Flocked or artificial Christmas trees will not be accepted and tall trees should be cut into pieces no longer than 5 feet, according to Livermore Sanitation. Trees should be placed at the curb by 6 a.m. Commercial customers may contact the sanitation department to have large trees collected for a price. Multi-family building owners and managers must contact Livermore Sanitation before Jan. 6 to designate a drop off area and to schedule pickup. Contact Livermore Sanitation with any questions.
