Description

DOYLESTOWN, PA — Thursday is the deadline for Bucks County residents to register for Free Narcan Training, the Bucks County District Attorney's Office said Tuesday. NARCAN® (Naloxone HCl) Nasal Spray is the first FDA-approved nasal form of naloxone, used for emergency treatment of a known or suspected opioid overdose. It's an important treatment to know how to use: in the past year, Bucks County reported 779 opioid overdoses, with those in their 20s and 30s especially affected. The in-person training, which will teach residents to administer the lifesaving overdose prevention drug, will take place on Jan. 4 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Residents can register here for the training in the Administration Building at 55 E. Court Street in Doylestown. For more information on this event and other drug safety efforts in Bucks County, contact Bucks County Drug & Alcohol Commission, Inc. at 215-444-2700 or online.
